Built by Vahali Shipyards
Vahali is a family shipbuilding company whose story began in 1923 on the banks of the River Waal in Gendt, the Netherlands — a century of shipbuilding, celebrated in 2023. In 2005 the yard expanded into Southeast Europe, acquiring shipyard facilities in Serbia and opening a metal-processing plant in Belgrade, and in 2013 it took over the shipyard at Zasavica, near Mačvanska Mitrovica, which after reconstruction became the largest and most important in the region. Today Vahali employs more than 350 people, including entire generations of shipbuilders, across its Dutch and Serbian yards, with a slipway capable of launching vessels of up to 3,000 tons. Its output spans modern river cruise ships, tankers, dredgers and cargo vessels — recent work includes the river cruiser AmaSofia for AmaWaterways, launched in 2026, and two decades of Beaver dredger construction in partnership with Royal IHC. ORIZZONTE, delivered in 2020 to Theo Werner's Werner 98 RPH raised-pilothouse design and built to Lloyd's Register class, carries that heavy-steel pedigree into a private motor yacht.
