Built

Refitted in 2025, AXIOMA is a 72.01m superyacht built by Dunya Yachts, offered for sale with Jan Jaap. Since her delivery, she has occupied a distinct position in the market, recognised not for novelty, but for how well her design, volume, and layout continue to perform over time. AXIOMA was conceived with longevity in mind. Her steel hull provides a solid technical platform, while her interior and deck arrangements were designed to support real life on board.

Dunya Yachts

An Istanbul site held by one family since the 1950s, rebuilt to take on the yards of northern Europe.

The waterfront in Istanbul has belonged to the Ergun family since the 1950s. After rezoning, they developed it into the Ursa Shipyard in 1983. In 2005 Sedat Ergun turned it into a yacht construction and refit facility, and launched the Dunya Yachts brand to compete with northern European yards.

The yard covers 30,000 square metres, with 18,000 square metres of climate-controlled sheds, 80-metre and 110-metre build halls, a 5,000-ton floating dock, 180 metres of quay, and what the yard calls the only covered, climate-controlled dry dock in Turkey, for yachts up to 60 metres. Newbuilds and refits go up to 100 metres.

Its first build was Axioma. At the 2014 World Superyacht Awards she won a Judges' Commendation in the 1,300–1,999 GT displacement class. In 2024 came the 46.7-metre explorer King Benji, with naval architecture and exterior by Gregory C. Marshall and an interior by Design Unlimited. That interior won Best Interior Design – Motor Yachts, 499GT and below, 40m and above, at the 2025 BOAT Design & Innovation Awards.

Axioma's Alberto Pinto interior is built around a mezzanine main saloon. Her refit year is 2025, and she is the yacht on our list.

Sterling ScottExterior Design

An exterior studio that takes charge of the layout plan from the start.

Sterling / Scott designs exteriors, but its work starts with the initial layout plan so that the inside and outside are coordinated. Its designer is Diana Scott, and the studio works on both custom new builds and refits. Its first refit was Reborn, which began life as the 76.61-metre Amels Boadicea of 1999. Amico & Co in Genoa completed that work in 2011. Its first new build was Axioma, delivered by Dunya Yachts in 2013. Axioma has exterior lines by Sterling Scott.

Alberto PintoInterior Design

A Paris decorator whose practice grew from hotels and palaces into superyachts. His house still carries his name.

Alberto Pinto came to yachts by way of palaces. He was born in Casablanca to Argentine parents in 1945, studied at the École du Louvre in Paris, and worked first in New York, where he ran a photographic agency specialising in decoration and interior design. Over four decades his practice grew from hotels, private residences and palaces into superyachts and private jets. He died in 2012, aged 69, and the Paris house he founded continues as PINTO. Its yacht work includes the 85.6-metre Amore Vero, delivered by Oceanco in 2013 as St. Princess Olga. Two of its interiors are on yachts we list. Axioma, delivered by Dunya Yachts in 2013, has interiors by Alberto Pinto. So does Alfa Nero, the 82-metre Oceanco of 2007, although Fraser shares that credit with Nuvolari Lenard.
